Amino Acids for Weight Loss

What they are: Amino acids (Aas) are some of the principal building blocks required to assemble practically all cells, tissues, organs and organisms in existence. You can think of them as being similar to children's' building blocks. Some Aas are bound to sugars or fats, but a lot of them are put together to build enzymes, muscle proteins, elements of the immune ideas and even haemoglobin (the oxygen carrying components inside red blood cells). Just like with building blocks, there are lots of different types of amino acids, just as there are many different colours and shapes of building blocks.

By themselves, Aas of any one type may have inactive roles within the human body. Some have specific roles as principal forming elements for important structures. Some Aas can be synthesised in the human body and some need to be ingested and derived from food or supplements.

Arginine, glutamine, leucine and tryptophan are all examples of Aas. There are 21 different Aas found in humans and they are all, in one way or another, principal components for different human cells and tissues. Field chain aminos (or Bcaas: leucine, isoleucine and valine) have a slightly different buildings to other amino acids and make up 3 of the 9 principal Aas for humans (i.e. Those which cannot be synthesised internally and must be ingested). Although these Aas have been shown to heighten and pronounce glucose (sugar) levels while rehearsal and are purported to preclude muscle wastage under otherwise catabolic conditions, they have not been investigated sufficiently as weight loss aids.
